Project Number Two: Slutty Brownies

After my organizational high I got from my closet, I tried my luck at baking. Success.
I got the recipe from a girl in one of my classes, and I just had to try it. They're called slutty brownies because they're easy and just a little bit dirty (no I did not make that one up)

First, pre heat your oven to 375 F.
Then, spray or line your baking pan.
Get a bag of Nestle chocolate chips and follow the directions on the back for chocolate chip cookies. Put the chocolate chip cookie dough in the bottom of the pan.
Then, spread a layer of oreos over the chocolate chip cookie dough.
Finally whip up a batch of brownie mix and pour it on top. I didn't have brownie mix, so I used Fun-Da-Middles, which comes with a white filling, which I put on the oreo layer.
Bake for 30 minutes, and then enjoy. These things are absolutely heavenly!

Spring Break Project One: Closet Makeover

So if you know me, you know that I have ALWAYS wanted to repaint my closet. In the sixth grade, when I first got my cat, I drew some lovely cat drawings on the walls of my closet, thinking that was how I wanted to paint it. When I actually decided to do it this spring, I opted for something a little more grown up, though. Weird.
All sarcasm aside, I painted it the same green as my bedroom and added a gold stencil border around the top. I also took this opportunity to majorly clean out my closet. I had bags for trash, recycling, and give away. And even then, there was stuff I wanted to save that got stored neatly in the attic instead of junking up my closet.
The Star border
I made a little shelf from an old straightening iron box, which I spray painted gold to match the stenciling. Put some gold Christmas hooks in the bottom to hang some of my purses, and then the shelf has my purse contents. Love the organization!

The rest of my purses

The shelf in my closet, I used for my bigger shoes (heels, sneakers, and those lovely saddle shoes) and their boxes so I could keep my closet floor clear.

I can see my closet floor again!

Have a good spring break!

Detective Danielle and the Lone Eyewitness

So, as a teacher, my mom is getting observed this Tuesday, and her lesson is over adjectives. She asked me to youtube a video about adjectives for her, but alas, there's nothing that great out there. Then, I turned to one of my favorite video's on youtube, Ms. Swan gets robbed. In an effort to not be discriminatory, my friend Danielle and I had to remake the video, and called it Detective Daniell and the Lone Eyewitness. It's pretty good, if I do say so myself...

Bucket List

My only homework tonight is English, and that assignment, was to, yes, you guessed it, make a bucket list. Perfect senior assignment for all us seniors that don't want to do anything. Only requirement is that we have at least 20 things on it. So here's mine. Let's see what's on yours...

1. Go indoor sky diving
2. meet Kate Middleton
3. go to Advent fest in Germany/Austria
4. see my uncle's petition get passed
5. visit Rio
6. do a marathon
7. go skiing
8. publish a book
9. learn to line dance
10. get a dog
11. fall in love
12. get married
13. have kids
14. adopt a baby girl from China
15. go to a luau in Hawaii
16. learn how to ballroom dance
17. not take finals this year (yes, I know, I am an incredibly lazy senior)
18. go to Texas A&M (already accepted, just want to go...)
19. give a presentation to people that are older than me
20. teach high school math

Who knows how much I'll accomplish off this list and when, but won't it be fun to look back in twenty years and see at least some of it crossed off my list?
