New Make Up Bag

I finally went to the Vera Bradley store and used my birthday coupon to buy myself a new make up bag for college. I've had my current Ralph Lauren one for around five years and it just started to look nasty.

When I went to the Vera Bradley store, I really wanted to get the Hatbox Cosmetic in Folkloric, which is the pattern I have gotten since it first came out because I LOVE IT. However, they are in the process of retiring the pattern, and they did not have it. Guess it's time for a new pattern. So I decided on Priscilla Pink.

The hatbox cosmetic features a deep inside for a considerable storage of make up and two interior zip pockets, which I am currently using for Crest Whitening Strips. It also has a  nice laminated interior and exterior making it easy to wipe down when it needs cleaning.
Happy Thursday!

Cake!

Graduation party yesterday was a success. Danielle thought was the cake was store bought, but this is typical dad bakery. It was a marble cake with buttercream icing.

The Masked Rider

We are having a graduation party tomorrow for my cousin and I who both graduated last Sunday (little late right? :) ). Anyways, my cousin just graduated from Texas Tech and next year I'll be going to Tech so I put out my final sculpture project for decoration. It's a masked rider!!
We drew our designs on thick styrofoam and then used heat tools to cut it out. Once we cut it out and sanded the sides, we painted our designs accordingly.
I'll put up pictures of my other sculpture projects later.

Scrapbooking Summer Recap

Last summer, my family took an Alaskan cruise, and although I started to scrapbook it on my own, my aunt found this website called Printer Pix where I was able to upload all my pictures and arrange my own scrapbook online, where I have the option to purchase it (I think we're getting one for my grandma). Here's what I've got:

Leap Little Lion Man

For all of you that now have the Mumford and Sons song stuck in your head, congrats! You don't win any prize, but we might have similar tastes in music. A prize would have been better, I know.
Anyways, now that I'm graduated (that feels weird to say) and my mom is still in school, I have been sending her pictures of cute baby lions on almost a daily basis. It all started when she rented Born Free from the library. Since then, I've looked for the cutest pictures of baby lions, and emailed them to her to brighten her day (also, I might love junking up her inbox).

Enjoy! Happy Thursday!!

K?

Ever get that annoying text that just says "k"? Here's a creative response I used on my mom.
My mom and I have a lot of funny texts, so I included one of those as well. Enjoy!

Coralize Your Summer

Now that I'm officially on summer vacation (even though I had all of last week off), I'm gearing up for some cute summer trends. All of them in coral of course! :). And what better way to celebrate the 50th blog post on Call Me Coral than one that Coralizes Your Summer?!

Enjoy! And of course, we'll see some more coral styles as we get further into summer!

Graduation!

Today is the day of my high school graduation :(. Although, I will be sad to be leaving, I'm also excited to start that new chapter in my life called COLLEGE! One of the things my high school made us do, was to make college pennants for every where we got in, and then they displayed them in the hallway. These are just some of the ones I had to make (like one-third).

I apologize for some of these pictures being upside down; my computer is not letting me change them. Anyways, I just really liked the idea of every one's pennants being displayed and the coloring was a nice break from senior year.

Fun Summer Nails

I did these nails earlier this month, but I think they'd go great for summer. I did a base coat in Essie's turquoise and Caicos and then used thin strips of Scotch tape to make triangles at the base of my nails and painted that area with a deep purple. Also, following the current trend, I painted my ring finger on each hand with the same purple I used for the triangle.

Perfect Pillows

Now that I am out of school, I should theoretically have a lot of free time. However, I have daily lists of house work to do. Yesterday, after I finished all my house cleaning things, I decided to make some cute pillows for my dorm room next year. Now, Sunday, I returned the Ralph Lauren plaid bedding I had, and my roommate and I are going to pick out some stuff together. Not knowing the color scheme we will be using, these pillows are still pretty perfect.

I started out sewing a basic pillow form with some plain white fabric. The back is an overlay style with a cute decorative button. Then I found some scrap book letters (the ones I used on my candy containers for my freshman in August), and started tracing them onto the pillows with a pencil. To make life easier, I really should have used a stencil, but I didn't have one. Note: Prior to writing, I put an old notebook inside the pillow case so I had something hard to write on.

After stenciling all the letters, I went back and colored them all in with a black fabric marker.

One finished pillow case later, I decided it was time to make a continuation pillow so I could get the whole message across.

So now I have two throw pillows for my dorm room, that will match regardless of the colors my roommate and I choose.
Happy Tuesday!

Mint Fashion

Over the weekend I went to Target with my friend Danielle from our video Detective Danielle and the Lone Eyewitness. Anyways, I found this awesome pair of mint jeans for around $25. Colored jeans are a great fashion find, and although Target has a lot of different colored jeans, the mint pair was definitely the best buy for me. Here's some fashion ideas should you decide to try some mint jeans of your own.
